Pulsatilla

Distribution: Caucasus, 2200-4200 m; open slopes.

Perennial up to 30 cm tall. Leaves 2- or 3-pinnatisect, silky hairy. Flowers 20-36 mm long, bell-shaped, nodding, yellow. Fl. IV-V.

Distribution: mountains of C and S Europe; acid alpine and subalpine grassland.

 

Perennial 20-40 cm tall. Leaves bipinnate, terminal segments pinnatifid. Flowers 40-60 mm diameter, cup-shaped, erect, yellow. Fl. IV-V.

Distribution: NW China, Russian Far East, E Siberia; grassy slopes.

 

Rhizomatous perennial 25-40 cm tall. Leaves 3-foliolate, leaflets further divided. Flowers ca. 20 mm long, funnel-form, pale lilac or pale bluish lilac. Fl. IV-V.
