Distribution: mountains of C and S Europe; limestone scree, rocks. 

Perennial mats-forming. Leaf rosettes ca.0.5 cm in diameter, compact. Leaves lime-encrusted. Flowering stems 5-10 cm high. Inflorescence 4-5-flowered. Flowers large, white. Fl. VI.

 

Geographische Verbreitung: Gebirge von C-und S-Europa; Geröll, Felsen, auf Kalk.

 

Mattenbildende Staude. Blattrosetten ca.0, 5 cm Durchmesser, kompakt. Blätter mit Kalk verkrustet. Blütenstiele 5-10 cm hoch. Blütenstand 4-5 blütig. Blüten groß, weiß. Blütezeit VI.

Distribution: W Alps, south to former C Yugoslavia, up to 2500 m above sea level; dry, limestone rocks.

Evergreen perennial dense mats-forming 10-25 cm high when bloom. Leaf rosettes 2-8 cm wide, flat, dense, silvery. Leaves heavy lime-encrusted. Panicle 5-15 cm long, brunches 1-3-flowered. Flowers 8-13 mm across, white, sometimes with red spots. Fl. VI-VII.

 

Geographische Verbreitung: W Alpen, südlich bis Balkanhalbinsel, bis zu 2500 m über dem Meeresspiegel;  trockene Kalkfelsen.

 

Immergrüne Mattenstaude, in der Blütezeit bis 10-25 cm hoch. Blattrosetten 2-8 cm breit, flach, dicht, silberfarben. Blätter stark von Kalk verkrustet. Blüten 8-13 mm breit, weiß, manchmal mit roten Flecken. Blütezeit VI-VII.

Distribution: Pirin Mts in Bulgaria.

 

Perennial cushion-forming, 4-8 cm tall in bloom. Leaves ca. 0.6 cm long. Inflorescences 7-12-flowered dense cymes. Flowers golden-yellow. Fl. IV-V.

Distribution: Arctic, mountains of Europe, Asia and North America, up to the alpine level; crevices, rock shelves.

Perennial cushion- or loose mat-forming, evergreen, 1-5 cm high. Leaves in rosette, gray green, with hydatodes at apex. Flowers singly, 10-20 cm across, pink to lilac. Fl. IV-V.
