Androsace

Distribution: E Pyrenees, W Alps, above 1900 m; turf, scree.

Tufted perennial ca. 8 cm tall, with woody rootstock. Rosettes 1-2 cm diameter, loose arranged. Flowers in umbel atop the stem, 5-8 mm across, cup-shaped, pink, rarely white, with yellow eye. Fl. V-VI.

Distribution: N Pyrenees, above 1800 m; limestone cliffs.

 

Perennial cushion-forming with leaf rosettes 0.8-1 cm diameter. Leaves linear. Scapes very short. Flowers 1-2 per rosette, 5-7 mm diameter, white, V-VI.

Distribution: E Europe, Caucasus, 1400-3000 m above sea level; steppes.

Perennial carpet-forming 5-10 cm in tall. Leaves gray green, pubescent. Scapes hirsute. Umbells 3-6-flowered. Flowers 8-12 mm in diameter, white, fading pink. Fl. late spring, summer.

 

Geographische Verbreitung: Osteuropa, Kaukasus, 1400-3000 m über dem Meeresspiegel; Steppe.
Teppichbildende Staude 5-10 cm hoch. Blätter graugrün, behaart. Blütenstände hirsute. Dolden 3-6 blumige. Blüten 8-12 mm im Durchmesser, weiß, rosa verblassen. Fl. später Frühling, Sommer.

Distribution: Pyrenees, Sierra Nevada, Alps, Apennines, Atlas Mts., above 2000 m; rock crevices.

Perennial cushion-forming. Leaves in rosettes 0.5-1 cm diameter, densely hairy. Flowers 1-3 per rosette, on short scapes, 5-8 mm across, white with yellow eye. Fl. IV-V.

Distribution: W Pyrenees, above 1300 m above sea level; limestone rocks.

Perennial cushion-forming composed of leaf rosettes ca 2 cm diameter and 2-3 cm tall in bloom. Flowers ca. 8 mm diameter, white, greenish-yellow in central part.  Fl. V-VI.

Distribution: S Syberia, Central Asia, Mongolia; rocks.

 Grey-green perennial mat- or cushion-forming. Inflorescence 1-3-flowered umbel. Flowers white, green-yellow in central part. Fl. V-VI.
