Androsace

Distribution: C Apennines, above 2500 m; limestone crevices.

Perennial with rosettes 1.5-2.5 cm diameter. Flower stem short; flower 1 per stem, 5 mm diameter, white with yellow eye. Fl. V.

Distribution: Alps, Carpathians; rocks, grasslands, mountain halls.

Perennial cespitose up to 10 cm tall. Leaves in ground rosette. Umbel with several flowers, with long petioles. Flowers 6-9 mm in diameter, white, yellow in throat, deeply in throat red. Fl. V-VII.

Distribution: W Pyrenees, above 1300 m above sea level; limestone rocks.

Perennial cushion-forming composed of leaf rosettes ca 2 cm diameter and 2-3 cm tall in bloom. Flowers ca. 8 mm diameter, white, greenish-yellow in central part.  Fl. V-VI.

Distribution: Pyrenees, above 2500 m above sea level; granite cliffs.

 

Perennial cushion-forming up to 5-6 cm diameter and 5 cm tall. Leaves narrow elliptic. Flowers 5-6 mm diameter, white. Fl. IV-V.
